The ask
Context:
The Property Valuation System is a tablet app for OASIS, designed to help property evaluators assess properties according to government standards. The app works both online and offline, enabling users to input property details, calculate dimensions using AR technology, manage checklists, add media files, and generate comprehensive property valuation reports.
Problem:
Current property evaluation methods are manual, slow, and prone to errors. Evaluators struggle with inconsistent data entry, inaccurate dimension calculations, and inefficient report compilation, especially in areas with poor internet connectivity.
Objective:
Develop a user-friendly tablet app that:
- Adds Property Details: Input basic info, property specifics, AR-based dimensions, and amenities.
- Manages Checklists: Evaluate build quality, dimensions, approvals, and attach media files.
- Generates Reports: Create, review, and publish property valuation reports using templates.

Streamlined Data Entry
- Design an intuitive interface for entering basic property information, property specifics, and amenities.
- Implement drop-down menus, auto-fill options, and validation checks to ensure consistent and accurate data entry.
AR Technology Integration
- Utilize AR technology to calculate and verify property dimensions accurately.
- Provide easy-to-use tools within the app for measuring and recording dimensions in real-time.
Offline Functionality
- Enable offline mode to allow evaluators to input and save data without internet access.
- Implement automatic synchronization of data once the device reconnects to the internet.
Checklist Management
- Create digital checklists for evaluating build quality, dimensions, and necessary approvals.
- Allow users to attach media files (photos and videos) to checklist items for comprehensive documentation.
Report Generation
